Our wet set panels are for use in freshly poured curb ramp installations.
The base of the domes is 1.4 inches in diameter with the top of the dome having a diameter of .7 inches. This gives the base tremendous strength to support the domes for years to come.
The entry side and exit side of wet set tile have a 15° elevation to anchor tiles in place. The lateral edges of the tiles are at a 90° angle, thereby allowing for minimal gaps between panels.
Quick and Easy Installation: At the same time as the ramps are being poured, the tiles are recessed into the fresh concrete using provided anchor systems. Use an edger to edge around the tile. Place expansion joints in and you are finished.
Construction Cost Savings: There is no forming out that need to be done. There is no coming back a second time to put the tiles in. There should be very little, if any, materials wasted due to custom design. There is a tremendous amount of man-hours that are saved by eliminating time spent cutting panels to fit. We estimate a savings of well over $600.00 per ramp.
Installation of Wet Set Panels
- No certification of installer required but installation must be done according to manufacturers directions in order for 5 year warranty to be valid.
- Insert anchors into pre-drilled holes and tighten fastener.
- Using snake vibrator, place the panel in fresh concrete flush with the top of the concrete and edge all edges with a ¼” edger.
- Place expansion joints around tiles as standard procedure of concrete work.
